IT support in Footscray and the inner west

YouGrowIT is an IT support business based in Melbourne's west, in Point Cook — about twenty-five minutes down Williamstown Road from Footscray. We support businesses across the inner west: Footscray, Yarraville, Seddon, West Footscray and Kingsville.

Who we support here

The inner west's businesses are small, independent and varied, and that's what our client base out this way looks like: health and wellbeing practices, creative and media studios, professional services, and hospitality and retail on the strips. Businesses of two to fifteen people where nobody's job title is "IT" and nobody wants it to be.

The pattern we see in the inner west specifically: businesses that started lean on free or consumer tools — a Gmail account, files in someone's personal Dropbox, a laptop bought at Officeworks in a hurry — and have grown to the point where that's now the risk. Client records in a personal account. No backup anyone has tested. Two staff sharing a login. None of it was wrong at the start; all of it needs sorting before it bites.

What the work looks like

The jobs we do most for inner-west businesses:

Moving a grown-up-now business from personal accounts onto Microsoft 365 the business actually owns — including businesses being pushed off free Google Workspace, which we handle as a fixed-scope migration
Email, calendars and files shared properly across a small team
Backup that's tested, for the practice-management data or the project archive the business cannot lose
Security sized for a small firm: multi-factor authentication, password management, and clear advice when something suspicious lands
Taking over from a previous provider or a departed "friend who did the computers" — cleanly, with the passwords and admin access ending up in your hands, not ours (how changing provider works)

Nearly all of it is remote, which suits studio and practice hours. Onsite visits carry an $82.50 including GST call-out on top of the standard rate, and the inner west is an easy trip from our side of the West Gate.

How the pricing works

Every price is published on this site — unusual in this industry, deliberate on our part. Ongoing support is a fixed monthly price per user on the support packages, from $60.50 per user per month including GST, month to month with no lock-in and no exit fee. Pay-as-you-go is $181.50 an hour including GST in business hours — a fair standing rate for businesses that only need occasional help.

Support hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm Melbourne time, excluding Victorian public holidays. Emergency help outside those hours is available at published after-hours rates.

A west-side provider

We're not a CBD firm with the inner west on a coverage map — we're based in the west and most of our clients are here. For a Footscray business that means local travel when onsite matters, and a provider whose idea of a normal client is a small independent business, not a corporate floor.
